HOW TO APPLY FOR ENERGY ASSISTANCE CAC serves Howard County residents (except those in the 20723, 20763 and 20759 zip codes) at the Gateway location on a appointment basis. Please call 410-313-6440 to make an appointment. Walk-ins are available only for individuals whose electricity is turned off. BGE clients who have a turn-off notice, please call BGE at 410-685-2200 to receive a one-week extension. If your scheduled appointment with CAC occurs after the BGE One Week extension ends, please contact CAC at 410-313-6440 for a possible longer extension period. CAC serves people in the 20723, 20763, and 20759 zip codes at the North Laurel-Savage Multiservice Center on a walk-in basis. By Mail - If you received MEAP/EUSP assistance last year, WHAT TO BRING:
Pay Stubs 1 if paid monthly, 2 if paid bi-weekly or twice a month, 4 if paid weekly. Letter on employer's letterhead indicating gross income for the period. Social Security, SSI or Pension Award Letter.
